Resolved Question: If you are or have married somebody in the military, Why did you vote for Obama?
FACT: We know Obama does not support the war in Iraq.
My cousin is 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines stationed out of Twentynine Palms CA.
He was among the first troops in Baghdad and participated in the infamous video of Saddam's statue being torn down by a crane. FACT: We know Obama does not support the war in Iraq.
My cousin is 3rd Battalion, 7th Marines stationed out of Twentynine Palms CA.

You people know which one I mean...The one CNN broadcasted video of for weeks. It was a proud time for this entire nation. 95% of America was hooting and howling and barking at the moon during this time.
Since that day, My cousin Don has been back to Iraq serving a third call of duty. He re-inlisted about 2 years ago after taking a 3 month break when his contract with the Marines was up. He loves and supports this nation so much that he could not stand the fact that his buddy's were over seas fighting and he was here. He is everything he promised to be when he first enlisted and more. He is an "American Hero" in my eyes as well as his friends and family. Don is only about 5ft 2in tall and about 150 lbs soaking wet, but he is more of a man than anyone else I know. He does not run from his responsibilities and has done his part to protect this nation from another terrorist attack on American soil.
His outtake on serving in the military is that when you sign up, You are making a statement that you are on call 24 hours a day and will do whatever it takes to defend the country you live in. His biggest peave are people who sign up to get a free education and take the attitude that America does not belong on foreign soil and does not belong in foreign matters. I have to agree with his questioning people who sign up for the military, get deployed over seas and whine and cry about it.
I would hope that 99% of our military personal have this attitude but it seems as if many of the family's of our soldiers voted for Obama in protest of their loved ones being deployed to the middle east. If you fit into this catogory, Why did you sign up or marry someone under the possibility that they would be called to serve? NO soldier in our military's is the victim of a draft. They all signed willingly.

So taterbug, are you claiming your husband served in Nam at the age of 12? Your questions and answers hint that your hubby is about 50. A bit young to have served in Nam dear.
Actually the person who claimed a whole slew of generals voted for Obama might want to read a little better. Over 90% of all active Generals voted McCain and Colin Powell was the only living former secretary of state to vote Obama.
louis, Saddam and Hussein are the same person! You put Hussein in Iraq and Saddam in Afghanastan.
BTW... Saddam Hussein WAS offered the chance to step down from power and leave Iraq without fear of being hunted down and killed or tried. He opted to HIDE. Close All

i just moved here. turning 21 next month and want to know what me and my husband can do thats fun and not expensive... we dont know anyone so is there cool places to go to meet ppl?
best places to get a job (best paying, and a good job?!?)
I dont wanna get a full time job and palm springs is over 120 miles away from where im at. and the military base is ehh. i dont wanna work there lol ive applied at hotels and food places n such but theres not much more im maining looking for ... View All
