Oldsmar is a city in Pinellas County, Florida, United States. The population was 11,910 at the 2000 census. As of 2004, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 13,706.[1] Oldsmar's history dates to 1913 when automobile pioneer Ransom E. Olds purchased 37,541 acres (152 km²) of land by the northern part of Tampa Bay to establish “R. E. Olds-on-the-Bay”. The name was later changed to Oldsmar, then to “Tampa Shores” in 1927, and finally back to Oldsmar in 1937. At our recent wedding reception at East Lake Woodlands Country Club in Oldsmar, Fl., the power went out. We had no A/C, lights, music, and no explanation. People couldn't see to eat, to find the bathroom, to walk around, etc. Can anyone tell me what kind of lawyer would handle a case like this? The country club told us they had been hit by lightening. Then they said all of Pinellas Co. was out, then just Upper Pinellas Co. All the lights were on in the neighborhood and also in some of the offices at the country club ... View All

People couldn't see to eat, to find the bathroom, to walk around, etc. Can anyone tell me what kind of lawyer would handle a case like this? The country club told us they had been hit by lightening. Then they said all of Pinellas Co. was out, then just Upper Pinellas Co. All the lights were on in the neighborhood and also in some of the offices at the country club. They never gave us a direct answer and did nothing to help the situation There was no back-up generator, so it was over 100 degrees in the room. The flowers wilted, the cake started to melt, we were never offered ice or water, some of the food was cold. We all made the best of it but 7 months of planning was gone! We spent thousands on flowers which died and paid the D.J. who was not able work Power as out when we left at midnight, so it was at least 5 hours Close All
