Opa-locka was been named the city with the highest violent crime rate in the United States by the FBI in 2003 and 2004[2] Despite major drops in crime, it still remains among the most dangerous places in the United States. Opa-locka also gained notoriety when it was discovered that the 9/11 Hijackers trained there[3].
