Hauʻula is a census-designated place and rural community in the Koʻolauloa District on the Island of Oʻahu, City & County of Honolulu. In Hawaiian, hauʻula means "red hau" (hau is a type of tree: Hibiscus tiliaceus). There is a small commercial center. As of the 2000 Census, the CDP population was 3,651.

Resolved Question: Other than the usual tourist attractions, name places to see in or near Hauula, HI.?
Will be staying with girlfriends's son, in Hauula. The Polynesian Cultural Center is a mile or so up the road from him. We'll be going there for sure.
