Coming out with the Truth
My life was always perfect. I was born into a semi-rich family. My parents were the best. My dad was the lead Lawyer of Hale Law Firm and my mom was the head medical doctor at Saint Elizabeth’s hospital, which I was born at. I am an only child and I only have a dog and her name is Sadie.
My parents didn’t want me to go to public school so they decided to home school me. But they had full-time jobs so they hired a teacher to teach me. And after the teacher left my house, a nanny would come and watch me but she would just tell me to go and do my own thing and leave her alone. So I would put Sadie on a leash and go outside and roam around my backyard. I would go and sit in my tree house and just talk to Sadie because she was my only friend. But, one day when I was 14 years old I heard a man’s voice yell “get out of my house you little bitch”. Then I heard a girl yell “Fine”. Then a door slammed shut. I climbed out of the tree house to see a girl my age starring at me.
“Who are you?” I asked.
“I’m Molly Harrison” Molly whispered.
“Was that you yelling?” I asked.
“Yes. But don’t worry my dad and I have these fights all the time” Molly replied.
“Oh” I said.
“Do you live in that house?” Molly asked pointing to the big house behind us.
“Yes” I replied.
“That is a big house. I haven’t seen you before. Do you go to Franklin middle school?” Molly asked.
“No. I am home-schooled.” I said.
“Oh. How do you do it?” Molly asked.
“Do what?” I asked curiously.
“I could never deal with being around my parents everyday” I said.
“I don’t get home-schooled by my parents. I get home-schooled by a teacher. My parents have full-time jobs. My dad is the head lawyer at Hale law firm and my mom is the head doctor at Saint Elizabeth’s hospital. SO I don’t get to see them that often” I explained.
“So do you ever like leave you house? Or do you have any friends?” Molly asked.
“I usually don’t go around town unless I actually have too” I replied.
“So you don’t, like, have any friends?” Molly asked.
“No” I whisper ashamed.
“Oh. Well do you wanna friends?” Molly asked.
“Sure” I replied “Come with me. I want to show you my house.” I start walking towards my house and Molly follows me. We talk for the rest of the night, we tell each other about our lives. I realized I finally have a human friend who I can actually talk back to me.
As the year continues Molly and I become like sisters. Finally summer comes and Molly is so excited after school one day because it was her last day of 8th grade and now she is a freshman in High School. She said I should ask my parents if I can go to public school starting this coming year. I decided to ask my parents when we go on vacation to our beach house in North Carolina in July. So for the rest of the month of June I was extra nice to them.
July came really fast and before I knew it we were flying to our beach house. We left on the night of the 8th and we arrived in North Carolina on the morning of the 9th. We planned to go to the beach that day but it took us almost all fo the day to get settled into our house, so we changed the plan and went out to
dinner. I knew it was the best time to ask them and so I did. We had just finished our food and we were waiting for the check, so I asked them.
“Mom, dad, I have a questions” I said wiping my mouth with my napkin. I then set it on the table.
“Yes” My Mother asked curiously.
“You know how Molly goes to public school” I said.
”Yea” My Father replied.
“I was wondering if I can go to public school. So I can interact with people my age and graduate from High School other people” I confessed.
“I don’t know, honey. It would be really hard and difficult to switch over when you’ve been home-schooled all these years” My Mother explained.
“Please” I begged. “I want to make other friends, I want to go to dances, I want to have crushes, and I want to be a normal teenager.”
“If this is really what you want, then you have my permission” My Father said.
“We thought home-schooling was the best thing for you, but we were wrong. We only wanted you to have a good education. We knew someday you would want to go to a public school and I guess
that day is here. It is your choice now.” My Mother said.
“I want to go to a public high school” I concluded.
“Then you have my permission” My Mother said.
“We will enroll you for 9th grade at Frankfort High School when we get back home” My Father said.
“Oh thank you, thank you. I wont let you down. I promise” I said happily. I got up and gave my mom and dad a hug. Then I ran to my room and texted Molly telling her I’m going to be at Frankfort High School for 9th grade this fall.
I don’t know when I started having the feeling that life wasn’t for me. It might have been my first day of High School but I’m not sure. Or it might have been my traumatic child hood.
I started at Frankfort High School on the 3rd of September, the day after labor day.
I bought all new clothe’s (well my parents paid for them) but I wore them. I got to school at 7:30am. I went straight to the office.
“Hi, I’m Alison Hale. I came to get my schedule” I said putting my hands on the counter top in front of the lady.
“Nice to meet you Miss Hale. Here is your schedule. Are you related to Doctor Laura Hale
and Attorney Jacob Hale?” Mrs. Dane asked handing me my schedule.
“Yea, they’re my mom and dad” I replied taking my schedule. “Nice meeting you...Mrs. Dane”. I walked out of the office. I looked at my schedule. It read:

I took the map out of the packet Mrs. Dane gave me. I circled where each of my classes were. I then started walking towards my home room which I guesses my locker would be close to there.
I found my locker. It was across from the cafeteria. Which was where a lot of people were sitting. I took my coat off and put it in my locker. Molly must of seen me because when I closed my locker and turned around she surprised me.
“Ali, you’re here” Molly said giving me a hug.
“Yes I am” I replied
“Well what do you think of the high school?”
“It’s so big.”
“I know. Do you have your schedule?”
“Yea here” I said taking out my schedule and handing it to Molly.
“Oh my gosh, we have every class together.”
“Awesome. You can help me find everyone of my classes” I say.
Molly and I start laughing.
“Come with me. I want you to meet some people” Molly said. I followed her into the cafeteria. She lead me over to a group of people sitting at a table.
“Everyone this is Alison Hale. The girl I have been telling you all about” Molly explained.
“Hey Alison” Everyone said at different times.
“Hi” I replied. A bell rings.
“Attention students please report to home room now” Mrs. Dane said over the loud speaker.
“Ali, we stay in here. My sister had Mrs. Stacey for home room 2 years ago and she said we sit in here” Molly explained.
“Good morning class and happy first day of high school” Mrs. Stacey said as everyone sat down at the first table. “When I call you name, say here. Nick Hab”
“Here” Nick said.
“Maggie Hackle” Mrs. Stacey called out.
“Here” Maggie said loudly.
“Daniel Haddler”
“Hey” Daniel said
“Tessa Haffle”
“Here” Tessa yelled.
“Alison Hale”
“Here” I said loudly.
“Are you new to the Frankfort school system?”
“Yes” I replied
“Ok, Molly Harrison”

“Hey” Zach replied. I looked at him and he winked at me.

Mrs. Stacey calls out the rest of the names. The rest of the time Zach and I exchange looks. Mrs. Stacey then gave us medical papers and other papers. When she got done talking she let us talk and move around to sit with our friends. Molly and I just stayed where we were and talked to Tessa and Maggie. Zach and Alex sat together and talked. They glanced up at Molly and I many times.

“Well they are the most popular and hottest boys in our grade, only date cute and hot girls, and they only notice, glance, and look at the girls they want to date.” Molly replied.
“Oh my gosh” I said shocked.
“What?” Molly asked.
“They keep looking at me and you” I whispered.
“They must think you’re hot and cute” Molly suggested.
A bell rings. Molly and I get up and walk to Mrs. Lyant’s classroom. We go and sit towards the back of the room. Zach and Alex walk in. Zach goes and sits behind me and Alex sits behind Molly Close All

Open Question: I need Ideas for fundraising or looking for a sponsors?
I am a cross country runner in Frankfort, IN and i got invited to the downunder sports tour, and it is basically a trip that i get to go on and i get to run in two races @ Australia and get to go visit Hawaii for fun, but the problem is that i need to pay for it but I'm pretty sure that it'll be a couple thousand dollars and i need to find a way to either make money or get donations or a sponsor does anybody know where i can start because i have no idea ... I finally got the name of the kennel Petland uses, I got into a little argument with them about there source of puppies, so I told them I would bring any information back I could find to prove to them.
