Resolved Question: Is it true that Marine Officers have a less likely chance of getting there preferred MOS than enlisted Marines?

First let me start with my background if you don't mind.... First let me start with my background if you don't mind.... I'm 15 years old and I am in 10th grade. ever since about 8th grade my mind has been set on joining the military, in particular The United States Marine Corps. My uncle and grandpa were in the Marine Corps and my two other Uncles were in the Army, my dad is a state trooper and my other uncle is a gang corrections officer i believe, My original plan was to go to college for 4 years and take a NROTC program during my 4 years, then graduate from college and join The Marine Corps as an officer. from there i was hoping to become a USMC Military Officer because of my family's history with Law Enforcement....... But from what I've heard, USMC Officers might not get there choice of MOS than regular enlisted Marines. Is this true? I know it may seem useless at this age to think about it, but i just wanted to start planning for the future, which hopefully i will be able to make a career out of The Marine Corps. I want to join the USMC Military Branch, because the military in general always interested me, knowing that my uncles and grandpa were in the Military made me want to follow in there footsteps, also joining for the benefit of our Country. I'm not joining for money or just because i want to shoot a gun and be macho. but because of the reasons listed above. Some Other Questions that i had concerning The USMC 1. Do you think i should try and get into Annapolis? Would this benefit me more? It would be hard work, but i would be determined to join because this is something that i want to make a career into. If i did try, would they look at my college or my high school grades? 2. Can you change your MOS while you are serving? 3. What other things can i do that will help my career in the USMC? Sports? Grades? Community Service? I plan on joining this military camp that is near where i live, hosted by the National Guard. Thank You for your time and answers. God Bless, Gilligan Close All

Resolved Question: Would you be offended if your child brought home a bible he/she was given in a public school?

 A public school in Annapolis, MO has been ordered by a federal Judge to end a bible give-away program for fifth graders. Judge Catherine Perry said that the Elementary School wrongly allowed the bible handouts because the sole purpose was to promote Christianity. Please share your thoughts and opinions on this.
