Voting Question: Where is my problem with my connection? (tracert)?
I have this problem where my internet connection cuts out every few minutes for about 10-20 seconds at a time. I am able to get on, but anything on internet that involves watching a video or gaming just sucks. My ISP insists that everything is fine, but its not. I have been looking and looking and I am now thinking maybe its my modem. I did a traceroute and I would assume that it is my modem not responding.

The 192.168.0.1 is my router so would my modem be next on the tracert list? I would like to pin point my problem before I call and have someone else come out to check the problem. Last time they came and said that everything is fine.
I use wireless sometimes but the results dont change whether I use wireless, or either of the 2 of my Ethernet ports. If its an internal problem where do I start to fix? I have updated all drivers about 10 times, I have reset everything like 50 times. Computer is less than a year old, problem started when I moved, only things that changed are modem(same router) and the location(same ISP) Close All
