Resolved Question: Why did Obama lie in a campaign ad about McCain being oppsosed to stem cell research, when he supports it?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/mcclatchy/20080923/pl_mcclatchy/3053532
“Stem-cell research has the potential to give us a better understanding of deadly diseases and spinal cord injuries affecting millions of Americans,” McCain said in April 2007 as he voted to support federal financing.
In 2004, he was one of 14 Republicans who signed a letter to Bush urging him to lift restrictions on the research, which they said had the potential “to treat and better understand deadly and disabling diseases and conditions that affect more than 100 million Americans, such as cancer, heart disease, diabetes, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, multiple ... “The fact is John McCain has been a champion for stem-cell research, which holds the promise of curing devastating diseases like cancer, diabetes and heart disease,” Sen. Arlen Specter , R- Pa. , said Tuesday.
“John McCain bucked the majority of our party in standing strong with me in urging the Bush administration to lift restrictions on stem-cell research, and last year voted to overturn the Bush policy.” Close All
Resolved Question: Did McCain all but guarantee amnesty for illegals ?
Speaking to an Irish-American audience this morning, John McCain used his strongest language of the general election campaign to grab again the mantle of comprehensive immigration reform.
In Scranton, Pa., he vowed to push through a plan that offers a path to citizenship to illegal immigrants who pay fines and fulfill other requirements. "This nation is stronger for the infusion of fresh blood and vitality," McCain said.

McCain soft-pedaled that backing for comprehensive immigration reform during the Republican primaries, when he was savaged for coddling illegal immigrants. He said that voters would not support such a plan until the borders were made secure.
The plan he championed, and that also had President Bush's support, failed to get through Congress last year. McCain highlighted his cooperation with Senator Edward M. Kennedy of Massachusetts and other Democrats on the issue.
While he reached across the aisle and bucked elements of his own party, McCain said, "Senator Obama took a hike" and has never stood up to his own party leaders.http://www.boston.com/news/politics/politicalintelligence/2008/09/after_hiatus_mc.html
Is McCain offering the “path to citizenship” for illegal alien Irish, illegal alien Hispanics, and every last illegal border-crosser, visa-overstayer, deportation fugitive, and immigration enforcement evader in the country? Close All
Resolved Question: Did Sarah Palin Lie when she said "thanks, but no thanks.?"?

“I championed reform of earmark spending by Congress, and I told the Congress thanks but no thanks on that ‘Bridge to Nowhere.” [Rally in Albuquerque, NM, 9/6/08]
According to AP, MSNBC and other reputable news media outlets, Sarah Palin never said "thanks, but not thanks." She supported the Bridge to Nowhere until Congress killed it. She still took the earmark of $113 million that was budgeted to the bridge when Palin assumed the Governors office 2007 and never returned it. She never said, thanks but no thanks...she never even spoke to Congress.
So why does she continue to lie? And why has it taken so long for the media to uncover her lies? Close All

'At 15, Sey left her New Jersey home for the Parkettes National Gymnastic Training Center in Allentown, Pa., where she boarded alone in an unheated room in exchange for a chance to become a champion'
she also says in an interview 'Most men that coach women gymnasts have never been gymnasts themselves. So I always wondered, even as a child: Why do these men want to coach little girls? In some instances, it's purely financial. But I think in the minority of cases, there are men who are interested in little girls.'
however i think i am seeing a change lead by two of americas great gymnasts Nastia Luikin who is coached by her father, who she seems to have a lot of support from. Shawn johnson coached by Liang Chow a former gymnast also, she seems very close to him and his wife and refers to them as being like 'second parents' Close All
