Open Question: Can you wear a brightly-colored tie to a funeral, as long as it is with a dark suit and white shirt?

My husband has a dark charcoal suit and a nice white shirt, but his ties are all brightly-colored (green, yellow, bright cobalt blue, etc) because we haven't had to go to a funeral until now. The funeral is for my Grandpa, so he isn't immediate family or anything, but I don't want him to look stupid if it's a faux pas. We don't have a lot of money right now, but if I have to, I will go buy a new tie. What do you think?

Open Question: Is this combination okay? or is it a fashion faux pas?

okay so i wear light short sleaved tops underneath my coat because i get hot indoors.. so when i'm inside i take my coat off.. problem is.. i'm probably wearing boots or maybe an ugg (not the knee long ones.. short one that are a few inches above the ankle).. my question is.. uggs or boats.. with a plain white short sleaved top.. weird or okay? when i'm out i put on my coat anyways.. so..?

Resolved Question: What is the advantages of living in a blue collar working class dominated town?

My wife's family lives in Erie Pa which is a real blue collar working class town. Crime is low and most people are white. Most people work in retail or factories and do not have a college degree. Hardly anyone has a professional office job. It has a unique blue collar culture. The family loves it in Erie, because it is a blue collar town. Do you see any advantage in living in a town dominated by blue collar folks?
