No home owner's associations. If you want to target practice off of your bedroom balcony, or plant another 40 blueberry plants, no one is going to tell you that you can't. **** Neighbors. This is difficult to describe accurately. Everyone out here is a bit strange. And they understand and expect you to be also. Do not get me wrong, it is a very nice house and a nice property, but we think we will actually miss the neighbors the most. No one is nosy. No one butts in to your business or asks questions. But, if something looks wrong at your house or a car passes down the road one too many times, you'll get text messages before they realize they were seen. And they appreciate you knowing what is going on as well. **** Cut down trees, have loads of concrete delivered and sitting in the yard for weeks, 10 yards of dirt, burn off a half acre, no one even mentions it. It's like it didn't happen. Looks like you're struggling moving it, and someone shows up with a backhoe/loader. **** No one just drops by, ever, but a quick "Hi" while your checking the mail might turn in to 30 minutes of great conversation. **** People like their privacy and safety out here and assume that you do too. They are doing their own thing and assume you are too. They do not like outside trouble, and know you don't either. **** And the last thing. The stars look great from out here, even better than Pensacola Beach at night.
