OVERVIEW

3 bedroom, 2.5 bath w/ office and room attached to garage. Open concept. Bar with seating. Open dining room and living room. Stone fireplace. Basketball/ tennis court. Newly paved road. Centered on the back lot of 36.5 beautiful acres. Red Bud creek runs through the property.

This was to my wife and mine’s retirement house. A number of years ago we were thinking about where we wanted to retire. We met at Mississippi State University and thought that would be a great place to retire. This property has been a second home for us as we would go to see the Dawgs play football and baseball. When the kids were younger, it’s where we spent holidays. My two sons attended and graduated from Mississippi State University and lived there while in school. I retired when COVID hit after 35 years of service. Over the years I have made improvements such as the installation of a fiber optic line for high-speed internet through Franklin Telephone Company (the parent company of C-Spire). Also, I replaced the gravel drive with a chip and tar driveway so there is no gravel to maintain. I completely replaced all components of the HVAC system as well as recently had the septic system overhauled.
Well, my wife and I soon realized that Starkville is not where we are going to retire. We will remain in Louisiana where our children (and future grandchildren) will be.
We have enjoyed our “farm” very much. It consists of mostly open pasture and was a Christmas tree farm at one point in the past. You can see the trees near the Red Bud Creek that runs through the property. All the fields are fenced with a number of gates connecting areas. I have a local farmer who cuts hay about three times each year.

Thanks for stopping by and God Bless.
