Once lovely early 20th century home, built with fine craftsmanship. Structurally sound, aluminum siding, roof still functional but will need reroofing in next 5 years. Plaster and lathe walls and ceilings, hardwood floors, wide base and crown moldings, fireplace and bay window in living room, formal dining room with chair rail and built-in cabinets, country kitchen (new cabinets on order), laundry room, main entry foyer, large sunroom, 3 covered porches, with 3 bedrooms and bath upstairs, accessible attic, full unfinished basement with concrete floor, 1-car garage with attic, new reinforced concrete floor 2019. Home partially rehabbed in 2018-19, sold with seller financing, foreclosed in 2025, and in process of re-rehabbing. I'm pushing 80, and just don't have the energy to finish the work of restoring it to its glory. Looking for someone with the expertise and wherewithal to complete it. Needs new furnace. After rehab value should be $130-150,000.
What the owner loves about this home
House has lots of character. Location is convenient to I-95. I grew up in this area and climbed Mt Katahdin every summer from age 10 to 17 when I left to join the Army. A pleasant drive to Millinocket , Baxter State Park, Katahdin Woods and Waters, and lots of outdoor activities: hiking, camping, canoeing, hunting, fishing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, and many others.
